Thanks to the folks at Foodrepublic.com, we've learned that Heineken is trying to take beer drinking up a notch.   Heineken's Cube concept gives beer lovers a square bottle that's designed to be more efficient and economical for stacking, packing and traveling. We also learned that the concept  is taken from an earlier rectangular-shaped Heineken bottle developed in 1963, which was intended to be recycled and used in construction.  The question that remains to be asked is are there enough longneck bottle drinkers ready to make the geographical shift to the cube ?  In the meantime, how about a cold one?
