Kentwood Voters to Vote on Millage Increase for Police and Fire Departments

Voters in Kentwood will soon decide whether to approve a millage increase to help support police and fire services in order to address Kentwood's population increase which has proportionately increased the amount of emergency and police calls the departments are receiving.

The permanent millage increase proposal of 1.95 mills will be on the May 7th ballot. If it's approved, the millage increase will allow the police and fire departments to hire more staff members and maintain response times.
