Wyoming DPS K9 Jett dies

WYOMING, Mich. -- The popular Wyoming Public Safety K9 Jett has died.

The police department says Jett was a dual-purpose dog trained in tracking and narcotics detection. He served with the Wyoming Police for about six years before retiring in 2021.

Jett went on to live the next three years at home with his handler, Officer Adam Sherman.

"Jett was a loyal and beloved member of the Wyoming Police family and will be greatly missed," the Wyoming DPS said in a news release.
