The Rosa Parks Circle ice rink is scheduled to open on Thursday.
The rink was originally scheduled to open on November 24 however, warm weather kept that from happening.
Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation director David Marquardt say warmer temps make it more difficult to get solid ice which is needed for skater safety.
The rink is scheduled to remain open through February 24.
