BATTLE CREEK (WOOD-AM) - The Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office plans to charge a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old as adults following the murder of a Battle Creek Central High School student.

Jack Snyder was shot twice after seeing the pair walking in the cold. Investigators say he offered both teens a ride when they pulled a gun and tried to carjack him.

Both teens are being held at the Calhoun County Youth Center.
