A Michigan State Police report into the officer-involved shooting death of a man in Allegan County, says the driver was impaired at the time of the shooting.
Officials say an Allegan County Sheriff's deputy pulled over 22-year-old Joseph Nagle near Hopkins on June 16 on suspicions of impaired driving.
After showing signs of impairment during sobriety testing, Nagle began to fight with the officer as he was told he was under arrest.
MSP says the deputy shot Nagle once in the chest.
A toxicology report showed Nagle had THC and cocaine/metabolites in his system when he died.
