Plans for a 12,000-seat amphitheater in Grand Rapids are moving forward.
Grand Rapids city commissioners approved the sale of a portion of city owned land at 201 Market Street to the Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention Arena Authority.
The CAA is purchasing a 11.6 acre piece of the 15.8 acre portion of land for $24.3 million.
The amphitheater project will cost a total of $116 million.
