Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries is opening a new women and children's shelter.
The 45,800-square-foot shelter opened on Friday.
Pastor Mike Brown said the old facility they were using wasn't working.
The addition has 16 two-bedroom suites with private bathrooms and living spaces.
The space is able to care for 191 women and children.
