HASTINGS (WOOD-AM) - Police in Hastings say an oven is likely responsible for sparking a fire that damaged four businesses in the city's downtown area yesterday morning.
Deputy Chief Julissa Kelly tells WOOD-TV that it spread from Vinnie's Wood-Fired Saloon. An officer on patrol saw the flames around 3 a.m.
Kelly says gusty winds likely pushed the flames to the neighboring businesses on State Street. Yhere were no reported injuries.
