The Kent County Board of Commissioners is waiving restaurants' food licensing fee this year.
The county says they will use American Rescue Plan funds to fill in the funding gap.
Kent County Board Chair Stan Stek says restaurants have been hurt more than many community institutions and the board wants to support them.
The fees are typically between $450 to $500 a year.
