GRPD: Seven Hurt in Six Holiday Weekend Shootings Across City

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Six shootings in Grand Rapids over the Independence Day weekend are under investigation.

Grand Rapids police say seven people were injured, including three teenagers at a home near Worden Street and Union Avenue.

None of the injuries are said to be life-threatening.

Another shooting broke up a large block party on Alabama Avenue near Bridge Street. No injuries were reported, but a witness says at least 40 rounds were fired.

Other shootings happened near Franklin Street and Eastern Avenue and on Union Avenue near Thomas Street.
