Local Food Bank Breaks Single-Year Record

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - This year, organizations focused on combatting food insecurity are seeing skyrocketing numbers.

South Michigan Food Bank CEO Peter Vogel stated that his organization, "Broke the single-year record last month." He also said that they were on pace to do somewhere between 14 and 15 million pounds of food given to those in need.
