Snow, low visibility impact morning commute across W. MI

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities advised people to stay home Tuesday morning due to snowy road conditions.

In Emmett Township, authorities said an overturned semi-truck will remain on the side of eastbound I-94 at mile marker 102 until weather conditions improve to allow a crew to remove.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

The National Weather Service Grand Rapids said there will be widespread snow showers through the morning. Snow covered and slick roads can be expected, especially along and west of US-131. Blowing and drifting snow will reduce visibility to near zero at times.
