Ionia Co. deputies: Hunter shot by brother, wounded

BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was airlifted to the hospital after being shot by his brother while hunting southwest of Saranac Saturday, authorities say.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. in a field in the area of Grand River Avenue and Bell Road in Boston Township.

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office says a 29-year-old Saranac man accidentally shot his brother, a 28-year-old Lowell man, with a muzzleloading rifle.
