Co-op plans grocery store in ICCF development

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A local co-op has proposed a new grocery store near Grand Rapids' Heartside neighborhood.

The Grand Rapids Food Co-op's new 10,000 square-foot store and cafe would go in at the southeast corner of S. Division Avenue and Wealthy Street. Construction is slated to start in 2020.

It's going to be part of the Inner City Christian Federation's new Tapestry Square Project, a mixed-use building that will include affordable and market-rate senior housing.
