Protest prompts Kent Co. commissioners to relocate meeting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Kent County commissioners moved their meeting after it was disrupted by protesters Thursday morning.

The Kent County Board of Commissioners meeting was adjourned after activists with Movemiento Cosecha, a group pushing for immigration reform nationwide, did not follow speaking rules.

The public meeting, which began in the Kent County Commission Chambers, was moved to a conference room located at 320 Ottawa Avenue NW.
