Lightning strike sends fire crews back to Wyoming apt. complex

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — An attic fire caused by a lightning strike sends fire crews to Timber Ridge Apartments for the second time in two days.

Fire crews were still knocking down flames at 7:55 a.m. Sunday morning, from a two-story building at 4345 Timber Ridge Trail SW near 44th Street, that was struck by lightning hours earlier.

Authorities say the fire started, and was mostly contained to the attic of one of the buildings.
