British ambassador talks green auto tech in GR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A highly-placed British official made a rare visit to Michigan Monday, the trip designed to promote trade and a special agreement between the state and the United Kingdom. 

Jaguar Land Rover Grand Rapids along 28th Street hosted British Ambassador Sir Kim Darroch to highlight British-built Jaguars' first fully electric vehicle.

But his visit also stemmed from a memorandum of understanding that Gov. Rick Snyder signed earlier this year while visiting the U.K. The ambassador said he traveled to Michigan, where he also met with Snyder, to make sure a strong relationship between his county and the state continues to prosper.
