2 arrested after GR bank robbery

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police have arrested two suspects for  their alleged connection to a bank robbery on the city’s northeast side  Tuesday.

The robbery happened Tuesday morning at the Independent Bank located at Plainfield and Fuller avenues.

A  man armed with the handgun made off with an undisclosed amount of cash  before jumping into the passenger seat of a BMW sedan. The sedan was  located within 24 hours of the incident, leading to an investigation of  the incident and the arrest of 28-year-old Quincy Melton and 29-year-old  Bo Franklin.

Both suspects are being held at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
