Holland Twp. student hit by vehicle goes to class anyway

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 12-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle outside a Holland Township school, according to Sgt. Steve Austin with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened around 7:19 a.m. Monday, just before the start of class Monday at Harbor Lights Middle School, at 1024 136th Avenue.

Austin said the boy ws trying to cross 136th Avenue about 200 feet north of Bluefield Drive and didn’t see the northbound car that hit him.

The boy was checked out by paramedics who determined he wasn’t injured, Austin said. He then went to class.
